Alexei Ivanov
Strategy and Transactions Leader
"Russia’s M&A is clearly a buyer’s market, with supply outstripping demand. Only 32% of respondents plan acquisitions, while 84% of respondents say they have assets to divest due to their low performance or because they are ‘off-strategy’."

Alexei has been the EY CIS Strategy and Transactions Leader since 2011 and the EY CESA Deputy Strategy and Transactions Leader since 2018. In addition, from 2014 to 2016, he was the EY Global Assurance Mining & Metals Leader.

Based in Moscow, Alexei joined Ernst & Young – Russia in 1995. He has over 23 years of international experience with EY member firms in Russia, the United States and France, both in Assurance and Strategy and Transactions. Over his career, he has led accounts as a Global Client Service Partner and served companies from various industries with a focus on the retail, machinery and mining and metals sectors.
