Strategically located in the heart of St. Petersburg, the building stands in proximity to architectural gems such as St. Isaac’s Cathedral, Mariinsky Palace and Admiralty. It is situated near Admiralteyskaya metro station, within walking distance of the city’s main museum, the Hermitage.
In the mid-18th century, the property belonged to the merchant Mikhail Danilov. Later, it was owned by I. E. Shishmareva, and in the 19th century by Engelhardt, Schil, Mitusov and others. In 1804, the site hosted the Bolshaya Gostinitsa Paris, and in 1832, architect Pelle transformed it into a neoclassical structure, functioning as a residential building containing rental apartments. From 1847 until his arrest on 23 April 1849, Fyodor Dostoevsky lived in this building, renting a room in Bremmer’s apartment on the third floor, which now serves as the conference room in our office, named after the acclaimed writer.
